Chad is mourning its departed of the Black Thursday. On October 20, 2022, demonstrators were protesting against the military’s continued rule. A deadly repression was ordered, triggering assassinations, gigantic raffles and arrests. Hundreds were killed, thousands went missing. Over 600 young people, including children underrage, were deported and condemned. Exactions seem still to be happening.
We will liase with Sohomi Ejangue, president of AFTATD – association of Chadian women from the diaspora in France, for the distribution of our books to support the families in their mourning. We also want to provide regular group support online.
